Calibre analyzes grant proposals to:
a) Identify strengths and weaknesses and prioritizing areas needing improvement
b) Provide recommendations for any potential instructional design improvements to enhance proposals
c) Improve how instructional design information is conveyed within a grant
ANALYSIS OF ACTIVITIES
Calibre analyzes all of the instructional design elements of sample activities to:
a) Measure the frequency and quality with which an activity incorporates instructional design features proven to be critical to generating meaningful outcomes
b) Benchmarking the instructional design of an activity against hundreds of previously rated activities using our INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN RATING SCALE
c) Provide specific recommendations to improve an activity's instructional design
INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN TEAM TRAINING
Calibre will develop and facilitate customized virtual training sessions for a provider’s team - in areas of need identified by Calibre. These sessions are designed to provide the knowledge, skills, and tools to develop an advanced instructional design that can drive improved outcomes.

Consulting coaching calls to help team members apply new instructional design knowledge, resolve any problems or challenges, and fully develop their new instructional design skills.
INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN TRAINING WORKSHOPS
Workshops to advance IME & Grant Committee teams’ Instructional Design (ID) knowledge and assessment skills to:
a) Ensure they can consistently and accurately identify proposals with highly-effective IDs that can best achieving targeted outcomes
b) Effectively use an ”INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN CHECKLIST” to rate and compare the ID quality of different grant proposals
c) Increase the ability to determine if proposed ID elements of a grant can truly achieve better outcomes
d) Improve Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to ensure they generate high quality proposals
e) Develop compliant, effective Requests for More Information (RMIs) and analyze the replies
CONCIERGE COACHING CALLS
Coaching sessions with the IME team to address specific individual grant evaluation challenges, build skills in applying new ID knowledge, providing help in evaluating important or challenging grants, and answering specific ID questions.
ENHANCING THE IME VALUE PROPOSITION
Positioning IME as an indispensable and valued strategic asset by:
a) Creating a compelling Vision Statement and building an effective IME Strategy
b) Providing a model that defines the value of IME investments compared to other types of company-delivered education
c) Designing powerful formats for communicating the “IME Value Story” so that all stakeholders recognize the value and impact of IME
d) Benchmarking and rating the instructional design of funded activities, within 3 months of launch, using a verified INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN RATING SCALE - to demonstrate the impact of funded activities

The Instructional Design Guidance Document and Tools was created by the Calibre Institute to help ensure that:
• Providers incorporate critical Instructional Design features in grants that can improve competence, performance and/or patient outcomes and deliver better outcomes.
• Grant Reviewers receive sufficient and detailed Instructional Design information in grants to make accurate funding decisions.
